The Ukrainian government hopes for a successful revision of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) credit program of stand-by in the near future, said in a statement on the government web site.

"The Ukrainian government is making every effort in order to fulfill its obligations to the IMF, and hopes for a successful revision of the program stand-by in the near future", - stated in the document referring to the statement of Deputy Prime Minister Grigory Nemyria made a meeting with IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn on Friday.

"The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF. Separately, they stopped on a set of issues that need further elaboration in the context of the continuation of the IMF program," - says the document.
