According to the USDA, the volume of world trade in oil in the current season will amount to 4,2 million tons, well above the average.
The main factor for increasing trade sunflower oil consumption growth was associated with improvement in price differences between sunflower and other oils. This has contributed to increased imports from such powerful players in the world oil market, like India and Iran, - said the head of the department of foreign trade activities APK -Inform Irina Ozip during the conference Oilseeds Oils 2009.

main exporters of sunflower oil in the new season will remain Ukraine, Russia and Argentina (the latter weakened the export position of the low yield of sunflower). In large volumes on the world market no longer supplies (sunflower oil .- Ed .),- said Stepan Kapshuk, CEO Association УкроліÑ. In this trio Ukraine, by far, the first place: Ukrainian share in world exports - about 40% of the world total, while in Argentina accounted for 28%, Russia - 17%.

These three countries also account for more than half of the sunflower seeds in the world (53% of the world market), and three they export 32% of seeds on the world market. All three countries are interested in providing a margin of the finished product, rather than raw materials, so their markets to export duty on export of sunflower: Russia - 20% but not less than EUR30 per 1 m in Argentina - 32%. Global trends, in particular, due to weakening oil prices helped reduce the price gap between sunflower and other oils. We can expect competition from other types of product, but not between the suppliers of sunflower oil - the analysts say. In this case since the beginning of a new year is projected to rise in world market prices - this proposal will contribute to reduction of palm and soybean oil and the rising cost of substitutes, the projections of the crop in Argentina. In principle, after the new year the price of oil rising - is the seasonal factor, regardless of yield and production, - said one of the processors.
