Ministry of Fuel and Energy has developed the concept of modernization and re-transmission system in the years 2009-2015, providing funding of $ 2 570.5 million. This is stated in the concept.
document envisages the modernization and reconstruction of compressor stations, CTA; reconstruction and repair of gas mains, reconstruction and technical re-metering and gas distribution stations and underground gas storage facilities.
In particular, in order to convert gas-pumping compressor stations, which use gas turbine and reciprocating engines for the motor to ensure the development and production for the domestic enterprises of synchronous and asynchronous electric motors 6, 6,3, 8, 10 and 16 MW.
When developing long-term plans of development of the energy system, programs, construction, reconstruction and technical re-equipment of power plants and transmission lines necessary to consider the possibility of transfer of gas compressor units for the motor.
In addition, the concept provides for the application of differential tariffs for electricity, which takes into account daily and seasonal irregularity load power system.
implementation of the concept, according to the Fuel and Energy Ministry, will undertake a comprehensive modernization and technical re-transmission system that would promote: safe and effective in its functioning and integration into the European network of pipelines, improve the safety operation of gas pipelines, natural gas savings and reduction of production and technological cost of natural gas resulting from the transfer of gas pumping units for the motor, creating a favorable investment climate for the further development of the GTS.
Financing activities aimed at implementing the concept, it is expected to carry out their own funds of the National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine, as well as leveraging other sources (use of state budget does not provide).
Approximate volume of investments amounts to 2 570.5 million.
