In 2009, consumption of electricity in the Pskov region decreased by 0,8%
In 2009, the productive supply electricity to consumers of the Pskov region amounted to 1 607.9 million kWh. In comparison with 2008 consumption has decreased as a whole at 0.8% or 12.9 million kWh, reported JSC Pskovenergosbyt.
biggest drop in consumption was observed in large-scale industry. During the period, consumption of this group amounted to 396.2 million kWh, which is 7,4% or 31,5 million kWh lower than in 2008.
In the small-scale industry annual reduction in consumption was 5.9% or 14.5 million kWh in comparison with 2008. Total consumption of this group in 2009 totaled 232.2 million kWh.
According to a supplier of electricity in the territory of the Pskov region, reducing electricity consumption by industrial enterprises in the region is mainly due to falling production volumes, noted in the announcement "MRSC North-West."
Also at 7.8% or 5.3 million kWh more than the same rate in 2008 increased the power consumption of agricultural consumers. In 2009 it reached 73.8 million kWh.
