Gazprom will participate in infrastructure development of the Murmansk region with a view to implementing a number of its projects
Chairman of Gazprom Alexei Miller and the governor of the Murmansk region Dmitri Dmitrienko signed a cooperation agreement for 2010-2015, aiming at the development of bilateral relations in the framework of the strategic projects of the company in the territory of the Murmansk region.
First and foremost, is a project of integrated development of the Shtokman gas condensate field, the construction of an offshore gas pipeline and gas processing facilities, including LNG plant, as well as the construction of a main gas pipeline to Murmansk - Volkhov.
In accordance with the contract to build the engineering, transport and social infrastructure projects in the territory of the Murmansk region, Gazprom will consider participation in the construction of a highway. Teriberka and construction in the area of residential homes, social and service facilities and health facilities. It will be decided on the company's participation in the reconstruction of existing and construction of new utilities in subsection Lodeinoe.
When operating constructed facilities Unified Gas Supply System in the Murmansk region, Gazprom, other things being equal, will draw upon the expertise of the personnel reserve area, and in addition, will assist residents in obtaining the appropriate professional education.
The Government of the Murmansk region, in turn, will create for Gazprom optimal conditions for investment in projects in the sphere of production, transportation, gas liquefaction and processing of hydrocarbons in accordance with applicable law. In particular, Gazprom will be assisted in land acquisition, design of state registration of property rights, taxation and others.
